Race Updates - Registration Update

Congratulations on registering to be a part of the 2008 WALT DISNEY WORLD® Marathon Weekend. Both the Half Marathon and the Marathon have reached their registration capacity and are now sold out. Disney's Family Fun Run 5K is at 70% of its registration capacity. Registration for both the Half Marathon and the Marathon are still available via groups and charities at www.disneyworldmarathon.com.

Runners' Retreat Are you looking for the ultimate way to experience the WALT DISNEY WORLD® Marathon Weekend? Treat yourself before and after the race with a trip to the Runners' Retreat! By purchasing the Runners' Retreat Package, you will receive exclusive pre and post race access to the Runners' Retreat which will include:

Heated or cooled Tent
Pre-race hot and cold beverages, fruit and bagels
Post-race beverages and snacks
Carpeted area for stretching
Exclusive baggage check
On-site restroom facilities
Special character greetings.

Post-race massages will also be available for $10.00. Registration for the Runners' Retreat will open on September 12 at 8:00 a.m. EST. The Runner's Retreat package is $50.00 per runner. Registration for this event will be limited, so register early to ensure your spot.

Grandstand Fan Package Make sure that your friends and family watch the Marathon in style by purchasing the Grandstand Fan Package! The Grandstand Fan Package is a dream come true for Marathon and Half Marathon spectators. The package includes:

Reserved grandstand bleacher seating at the finish line
Boxed Breakfasts
Hot and cold beverage service throughout the race
Noisemakers for cheering on friends and family.

The Grandstand Fan seating will open at 6:00 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. The Grandstand Fan Package is $25.00. Seating will close once the races are completed. Registration for the Grandstand Fan Package will open on September 12 at 8:00 a.m. EST. A limited number of packages will be sold, so tell your friends and family to register early to ensure their spot!

Susan G. Komen Central Florida Race for the Cure® - September 9, 2007

The Susan G. Komen Central Florida Race for the Cure® Series is the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world. More than 1.5 million people are expected to participate in more than 100 Races around the United States. Tower of Terror 13K

The Susan G. Komen Central Florida Race for the Cure® 5K will take place at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at 8:00 AM. The event will include a timed 5K, a 5K fun run, a 1 mile walk, and Kids' races. Online registration for this event is now closed but race day registration will be available.
