The race was great. Running through Epcot, Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios, etc. was a great distraction and something I'll never forget.
I would stongly recommend doing the parks AFTER the run instead of before...sounds logical enough, but for some reason I thought it wouldn't have an impact...but it did.
For me the full marathon was a tale of two halves. The first was cooler temps, and the pace was great, running through Cinderella's castle was cool, and the crowd support was awesome. However, by the time the sun came out the high 70's with 80-90% humity started to take its toll. I slowed way down for the second half so I could save myself for a strong Freescale run.
The organizers, volunteers, mileage markers with clocks at each mile, the scenery, and medals were all fantastic!
The 6 a.m. start, heat, humidity, my decision to take our three kids to three parks the three days before the race, and miles 16 - 18 were the only downers.
I'd recommend the race to anyone who wants a fun experience with great support.
